We are pleased to welcome endocrinologist Dr Faran Khalili to our friendly team. He works closely with GPs to optimise patient outcomes in diabetes, thyroid, pituitary and adrenal disorders. He also has an interest in assisting patients with obesity management.
Our established cardiology service expanded in 2022 with Dr Joanne Eng-Frost joining Assoc Prof Christine Burdeniuk in delivering high-quality cardiac care. At Magnolia Specialist Centre we promote the early detection of cardiac disease and the timely initiation of appropriate therapies. This is proven to improve patient outcomes. By adopting guideline-driven management of cardiac risk factors such as hypertension and hyperlipidaemia we work together with patients and their General Practitioners to assist in the prevention and management of cardiac disease.
We have two neurologists in our team, Dr YiZhong Zhuang and Dr Kate Johnson who are skilled in treating movement disorders, headache, epilepsy and functional neurological disorders. Dr Zhuang is also trained to administer botox, nerve blocks for neurological disorders and performs nerve conduction studies at Magnolia Specialist Centre.
