Dr Faran Khalili (MBBS, FRACP) completed his medical degree at the University of Adelaide. He subsequently completed his internship and Basic Physician Training at the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network. Through his Endocrinology Advanced Training he worked across Adelaide at Flinders Medical Centre and the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Faran was awarded Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) in 2023.
Dr Khalili enjoys many aspects of Endocrinology and believes that communication is essential to ensure that his patients feel involved in the therapeutic relationship and achieve positive clinical outcomes. He is a strong advocate for his patients and works closely with diabetic educators to deliver best possible care.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Khalili is a clinical lecturer in the Medical School at Flinders University and remains actively involved in the medical education of students, interns and Basic Physician Trainees.
For his medical education endeavours, he was nominated for South Australia’s clinical educator of the year in 2021.
When he is not working, Dr Khalili enjoys playing tennis and is involved in community building activities within his local neighbourhood.
